Welcome to ScholiPhi, your first responsible AI-powered learning companion. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ScholiPhi application, website, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By registering an account, accessing, or using ScholiPhi in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
If you are under the age of 18, your parent or legal guardian must accept these Terms on your behalf before you use the Platform.
2. About ScholiPhi
ScholiPhi is an AI-powered educational platform designed to help students learn smarter through personalised study plans, quizzes, mentor interactions, and progress tracking. Our platform is built on the principles of responsible AI — transparent, safe, and student-first.
ScholiPhi is operated by the ScholiPhi team, based in India, and is subject to Indian law.
3. Eligibility
To use ScholiPhi, you must:
- Be at least 6 years of age (with parental consent for users under 18)
- Provide accurate and truthful registration information
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement (or have a parent/guardian do so)
- Not be barred from using the Platform under applicable Indian law
ScholiPhi reserves the right to refuse access to any individual who does not meet these eligibility requirements.
4. Account Registration & Security
To access certain features of ScholiPhi, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
ScholiPhi is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to secure your account credentials.
5. Permitted Use of the Platform
5.1 Permitted Uses
You may use ScholiPhi solely for lawful, personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This includes:
- Accessing study materials, quizzes, and AI mentor features
- Tracking your academic progress and earning achievements
- Engaging with the platform's AI-driven personalised learning features
5.2 Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate any part of the Platform or its AI systems
- Upload, share, or distribute offensive, abusive, or inappropriate content
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access or extract Platform content
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's servers, networks, or security
- Share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts
6. AI-Powered Features & Responsible Use
ScholiPhi is built on responsible AI principles. Our AI mentor and learning features are designed to support, not replace, genuine learning and critical thinking.
By using our AI features, you acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is for educational guidance only and may not always be accurate
- You should verify important academic information with qualified educators
- ScholiPhi's AI systems are continuously improving and may occasionally produce imperfect results
- You will not attempt to misuse, manipulate, or "jailbreak" the AI systems
We are committed to keeping our AI transparent, fair, and safe for every learner.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the ScholiPhi Platform, including but not limited to the mascot, logo, interface design, study materials, quiz content, AI models, and software,is the exclusive intellectual property of ScholiPhi and is protected under applicable Indian copyright and intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for personal educational purposes only. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any Platform content without written permission
- Use ScholiPhi's branding, name, or logo without prior authorisation
- Create derivative works based on any ScholiPhi content or technology
8. Subscriptions & Payments
ScholiPhi may offer both free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:
- Pay the applicable fees as listed at the time of purchase
- Authorise ScholiPhi to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis (if applicable)
- Acknowledge that subscription fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy
ScholiPhi reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the Platform after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
9. Cancellation & Termination
9.1 By You
You may cancel your account or subscription at any time through the Platform settings or by contacting us at contact@scholiphi.com. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
9.2 By ScholiPhi
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our discretion if you:
- Violate any provision of these Terms
- Engage in behaviour that is harmful to other users or the Platform
- Provide false registration information
- Fail to pay applicable subscription fees
Upon termination, your right to access the Platform will cease immediately.
10. Disclaimers
The ScholiPhi Platform and all content therein are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScholiPhi disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Guarantees that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate
- Responsibility for outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated content
ScholiPhi does not guarantee specific academic results or improvements from use of the Platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, ScholiPhi and its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, academic outcomes, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
In any case, ScholiPhi's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you to ScholiPhi in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Third-Party Links & Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services for educational purposes. ScholiPhi does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services.
Accessing third-party links is done entirely at your own risk.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
14. Modifications to These Terms
ScholiPhi reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When material changes are made, we will notify you via email or a prominent in-app notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
